Tools serve the solution

We choose technology for performance, durability, security and maintainability. Proven open-source software is usually our starting point, with headless or traditional architecture depending on what the product actually needs.

Back-end

  • PHP
  • Python
  • Node.js
  • FastAPI
  • Laravel
  • PostgreSQL

AI tools

AI is one tool among many. Privacy and control come before speed, with a senior developer always in the loop.

  • Claude Code
  • Codex
  • Qwen
  • Kimi
  • Adobe Firefly

A familiar logo never decides the architecture. The use case, the people maintaining it and long-term ownership do.

Hosting & operations

European hosting with control built in

We can run and maintain the software after launch, using EU-based infrastructure and clear operational agreements. Hosting is designed around availability, security, privacy and the sensitivity of your data.

  • ISO 27001Certified hosting
  • NIS2Compliant setup
  • GDPRPrivacy by design

Where certification is required, we work with ISO-certified hosting environments and document the responsibilities around GDPR compliance.

  • EU data residency

Data and backups are hosted within the European Union.

  • Bot & DDoS protection

Malicious bots and attack traffic are filtered before they reach your application.

  • Managed operations

Monitoring, backups, security updates and controlled access.

  • No lock-in

Clear ownership and a portable setup you can take with you.

Our process

A clear route from question to reliable software

We work in small, visible steps. You stay close to the decisions, knowledge remains transferable and each release has a clear purpose.

  1. Discover

We map goals, users, workflows, existing systems and the risks that matter.

  2. Shape

We turn the challenge into a focused scope, testable flows and a sound technical direction.

  3. Build

Designers and developers work together in short cycles with reviews, tests and visible progress.

  4. Integrate

We connect the product to your data, teams and systems without losing sight of daily use.

  5. Run & improve

After launch we monitor, maintain and improve the product using real feedback and performance data.

FAQ

Questions about custom software

When is custom software a better choice than standard software?

Custom software makes sense when your process creates real competitive or operational value, when standard packages require too many workarounds, or when systems and data need to work together in a specific way. We will also say so when an existing product is the better choice.

What does custom software development cost?

You can start with an MVP or prototype from €850 (excl. VAT). The total investment depends on scope, risk, integrations and the level of support required after launch. We usually begin with a short discovery phase and then provide a transparent estimate or phased plan, so you can make decisions before committing to the full build.

How long does it take to build a software product?

A focused first version can often be delivered in a few months, while complex platforms develop over multiple phases. We define the smallest useful release first and make progress visible throughout the project.

Who owns the code and data?

The agreements make ownership explicit. Our preference is that clients retain control over their data, source code and infrastructure, with documentation that allows another capable team to continue the work.

Do you use AI while developing our software?

AI is one of many development tools we may use for research, implementation, testing or documentation. Privacy and data control come before speed: we assess what may be processed by each tool and can use locally hosted models when appropriate. A senior developer reviews the output and remains responsible for every technical decision and production release.

Can Bootmine also host and maintain the software?

Yes. We offer EU-based hosting, monitoring, backups, security updates and ongoing maintenance. When certification is required, we select an appropriate ISO-certified hosting environment and agree clearly who is responsible for each part of GDPR compliance.
